How about start by telling us what you think a cycle series is?

Race? Sportives? MTB? Some sort of league?

Im thinking more along the lines of sportives being honest.... Do you think there is a need for them or is there enough of them out there already... I like to do a bit of cycling but cannot travel to all of the sportives around the country so reckon why not have some in Cork!! Have organised many events to date and reckon it could be a runner?

On the current leisure calendar I find that there are sportifs or audax events held in Co. Cork on th following dates:
    Sun 12 Feb - Kanturk
    Sun 19 Feb - Blarney
    Sat 10 Mar - Midleton
    Sun 25 Mar - Midleton
    Sun 13 Mayl - Midleton
    Sat 2 June - Kanturk
    Sun 24 June - Coachford
    Sun 2 Sep - Ballyvourney

That seems like a reasonable amount already?
Cycling is growing, if you run an eventbetween those dates then you will more than likley get people, who cannot travel to out of county events.
    Best of luck.

Midleton wheelers are running a fundraising event to raise funds for the earthquake in Christchurch. ( one of their members home town).

Sign on at 8 at the courthouse for a 75km route, youghal, tallow, Midleton. €10 fee
