    Hi,

    Just wondering do many people go swimming to the 40ft or seapoint and if so which is the main day 25th or 26th ?

    Well the 25th will be packed down 40ft...Didnt make it down there last year because of weather...Will be heading to Seapoint 25th myself...

    In wexford, i think Courtown have it in on the 25th december, but Cahore have one on New Years Day, its on at 1pm, all funds raised go to RNLI.

    on the 25th if the weather is dry the 40ft will be packed, just enough room to squeeze the onlookers to get ino the water, the usual amount of will I won't I people standing on the rocks. All makes for a good Christmas morning, but as suggested bring a strong drink for afterwards. I usually have a flask of hot whiskey with me to get the blood flowing again. Looking forward to this year as my 10 year old son wants to get in this year.

    Christmas day swim on in Galway at Blackrock. They're aiming for a record number of swimmers in Santa hats.

    Usually a Christmas day swim in Rosses Point in Sligo also, down at the yacht club pier.
