Could someone give me advice on communication studies?

    Hey.

I have been considering the communication studies course for a whole now. I have a passion for film making and already have a fairly large portfolio of work.

Would the DCU course have the connections and facilities that I could use for that? And I also read somewhere on here that the course doesn't end for summer. Is this true? Would you recommend the course and do you know of many people that have actually gone on to be successful in their specified areas?

I'm doing leaving cert this year. Thanks and I hope someone can help me get a better insight to the course :-)

It sounds like you want to do a film course rather than communications - have you looked at Dun Laoghaire? They work on film projects whereas DCU is more general. And if you already have a portfolio to show Dun Loaghaire you really should look into it
