Hey,

Was just wondering if anyone on boards had experience with this car in terms of reliability/saftey. Not too concerned about comfort/performance (pretty much nothing can be as bad as what I have).

After reading a bit about it, seems timing belt is an issue plus handling isnt great. Any input will help as I really dont want to buy myself a dud if I can avoid it!

Rubbish motor at any price, no redeeming qualities whatsoever, try a Hyundai Accent or Suzuki Liana or just about anything else.

It's on a par with a 90s lancer or mazda 323 in terms of interior, comfort, technology etc. You can do better. It's quite similar to the hyundai accent mechanically

Drove one from about that era when it was new, and I can honestly say it was the worst car I have ever driven. Just awful awful awful.
