    Current bid already puts it out of sight for me in terms of value for money. Once you've converted the sterling to euro and paid the VRT, it's a lot of money for what is almost a 6 year old A3. It'll also need a timing belt change soon so that would need to be factored in.

    As for buying tips, search the Motors forum, there's plenty of good advice, but specifically for something like that A3 diesel you'd want to make sure it has a good service history showing regular servicing and that the correct oil was used.
