    Hey folks

Just wanted to ask, a little ahead before the budget, what are the proposed plans for the government and third level education? I was trying to keep up with the details when the protests were being done etc but haven't been able to find the relevant information etc

Basically I was planning on going back to study next year but just wanted to know at the current moment what the proposed plans are for third level education fees/grants etc are

    Thanks!

So reading that the main focus on cutbacks etc for Third Level Students will be 3% decrease in Maintainence Grant, €250 increase in the student contribution charge and large scale backs for Postgraduate funding?

Is this what is set to happen in stone or may the might unveil more in the budget?

    is the funding for this

"The Graduate Skills Conversion Programme (GSCP) is a joint initiative with the Department of Education and Science and the Higher Education Authority, in response to the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) skills needs, identified by the Expert Group on Future Skills Needs and the mid-term evaluation of the ATS programme. It is funded under the National Development Plan.

The aim of the programme is to provide graduates with the opportunity to acquire qualifications for employment in the ICT area. A composite fee applies to all courses under the programme. For 2011-12 the fee is €2,750."

    still gonna be funded?????
