Can't install Ubuntu...

    I have followed the instructions, I have downloaded the ISO file and burned
    it to a CD but when i try and run the wubi.exe I get this ...

    I can't remove it ... I can't even end the process.

    I am running win7 64 bit - I dl'ed the 64 bit Ubuntu version...

    What's on the CD? One file with .iso extension or something else?

    The CD has all the directory's plus EXE file(s) a normal CD has ... it's not just the ISO burnt on to it ...

    It is the "proper" install CD ...

    Edit - Just realised , maybe I should try to boot of the CD ?

    that could work...

    Burn the ISO from Ubuntu site, restart your computer and boot from the CD.

    Will have to try this myself in the next few weeks. Whent upgrading from Ubunty 11.4 to the latest release.. Done something wrong and have crashed the whole computer! Just havent had time to get the Windows Vista computer turned on and the download put onto a memory key....
