with the recession as is ive noticed lately a few forecourts letting cars filll from the agri diesel tanks again is this common everywhere again now.
i remember a few yrs ago only being able to take it from drums from these pumps and having to put into the car at home
im using white diesel myself btw but would run on agri if i knew the car would accept it

    Fairly sure it's illegal anyway...

It will accept it alright :D

Only thing different is the colour, its the exact same otherwise.

If you get caught its a fairly big fine.

    I've never seen a checkpoint.

There are a hell of a lot of checkpoints lately. TBH, anyone stupid enough to pull up at the agri pump deserves to get caught.

    Put in a drum though.

You never know who is watching, don't fill up at the station.

    Best of luck driftking

And if tomorrow you filled up on the stuff and got caught at a checkpoint, wouldn't a €1000 fine be a bit sh1t 3 weeks before Christmas? Stupid risk in my opinion, just buy normal diesel like the rest of us.

I wonder if there is anyway to dye it back to white yourself?

Fellow I know has a second tank in the car, has the fuel opening door hidden in the boot, so when the custom boys go to dip he is clean:d

Almost impossible to get caught with a second tank.

Instead of all the enforcement required to watch green diesel use, why not charge everyone the same and give back the difference to those entitled to the reduction via there tax returns - just like business users reclaim VAT.
This would have some additional benefits - It would force large numbers of farmers, fishermen, agri contractors into the tax system instead of the current system where many are claiming welfare and working a nice sideline unnoticed.

the way cars are dipped now is there checked just before or after the diesel filter so your mate might be in bother if caught
