Can somebody tell me the costs of getting the gas and esb connected to a new house? Also if you can put forward some other costs I'll be hit with in a new house

It's a new house in an estate

    Hi Robbie G,

If the property is part of a development/estate rather than a stand-alone project, you shouldn't have to pay anything to get electricity installed in the premises. This cost will have been already incurred by the developer.

The situation would be slightly different if the house previously had power and is now disconnected, in which case a reconnection fee would apply.

More information can be found at the following link, All About Moving In.

Please feel free to send on your details via PM if you would like us to look into this further.

    Thanks,

    David.
