    What does this actually mean? Is it the same as appellation d'origine controlee? saw it in Aldi this morning

    New eu dealie that applies to all food products that are region specific eg clonakilty black pudding, champagne etc as far as I know

    So its a not a real AOC?

    It was the same for the class of wine, it said Grand Vins rather then the normal Grand Vinds de whatever.
