    Hi all,
Similar story to that is this link: http://www.audifans.net/ftopicp-223469.html only with a BMW 320D E90

I'm wondering if a split rubber gaiter needs to be replaced and what my options are for getting one replaced and what the kind of cost involved in?
Does the whole shock need to be replaced? There are 100k miles on the clock.

Any and all advice really appreciated.

    Cheers
    JJ

If seen this on Afew e90s no the shock doesn't need to be replaced just the new seal but it has to be stripped down to change also it won't fail a nct but it will cause dirt and grime to get onto the piston on the shock which is never good.see these cars day in day out and even if u needed a new shock it's Afew mins work
