Because it sure ain't no watch :D

The new office where I work is timeless, i.e. no clock on table or wall, something that a true timepice afficionado can't bear.

So during a recent stroll through the bay I happened to come accross Kienzle worldtimer clocks and formed the opinion that one of those would do nicely to furnish the office.

Initially I had my heart set on the original 30 cm dia table clock from the 30's/40's with mechanical movement

But I quickly discovered that they command four figure prices, so they were ruled out. :D

The next step down would be the same thing with "Automatic" movement, i.e. a battery powerd (non quartz) mechanical movement from the 50's or "Chronoquartz" (one of the first quartz movements by Kienzle) from the 60's ...but even those still cost well into the 100's

So in the end the heart had to be overruled by the wallet and today I snatched the smaller 15 cm diameter version (Chronoquartz, so most likely from the 60's) for a shade under 20 quid plus postage.

Should look good on the desk :D

If nothing else, it has a smiley face :):):)
