psychometric testing - third round of interview process

Hi I am through to the third round of the interview process for a position I have been interested in. The first interview was with human resources, second with high-level managers of the company. I have been told that the third round is psychometric test. Any idea what is expected here? anybody go through one of these…

I though that these usually take place at the beginning of the interviewing process.
