    Has it been discussed before?

No idea if it's of any benefit, or if people have already talked about it before - But if you're the type who'd prefer playing their Wii or GC games on your PC, Dolphin is pretty damn solid.

Got a copy of SSBB over for a test, suprised it worked! Always nice being able to record Wii/GC games on FRAPS, too, not external camera's :D It works with the actual game copies and, well, yes, ROMS as well.

Are there any other Dolphin users out there? I've started going on the prowl to see if there are any nearby folks who play it - Mostly for Netplay reasons.

It's a bit depressing that the Netplay feature is somewhat weak and very very specific (IP's & Having to run the same version and very specific settings of the emulator as everyone else, use the same game [not different versions] etc).

Just curious to know are there other users of Dolphin who are also interested in Multiplayer of their games.

Like any Emulator related thread, it would be best NOT to bring up the topic of how to aquire ROMS etc

Damned solid emulator, surpasses the Wii imo. I'm contemplating playing Skyward Sword in HD with this for xmas, rather than the actual Wii itself.

I don't think Wiimotion plus games are supported yet so might make Skyward Sword difficult.

The Wii is doing a good enough job of making the controls awkward I hear :p

Just bought a pc a few days ago, and I'm definitely interested in dolphin. As much good Skyward was on the wii, 1080p would make a world of difference. Those emulated 1080p vids On YouTube are so far beyond the wii, it's like a different game. How's motion+ these days on the pc?

Also could u point me towards brands for connecting your wiimote to the pc? Bluetooth adapter, bar etc on Amazon? Are there wii disc readers? Last time I put my wii disc in a tray it had none of it!

My laptop has built in bluetooth, so I didn't have to deal with that aspect luckily. It just automatically detects the Wiimotes.

But as for the IR bar, you can just use a wireless one -

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WHITE-WIRELESS-CORDLESS-IR-SENSOR-BAR-NINTENDO-Wii-/130412651943?pt=UK_VideoGames_VideoGameAccessories_VideoGameAccessories_JN&hash=item1e5d3325a7

Any wii game which doesn't involve pointing won't need the IR bar.

Your PC probably won't be able to read Wii games, no. You'll have to 'source' them elsewhere.

Wireless sensor bars as posted above will do it. Else any other replacement that can be used as a sensor bar (candles, etc)
Or if your wii is nearby, you can keep the sensor bar plugged into that i think (dunno how this work's with the remote syncing and all)
For the wii discs, only very specific readers will read it...not too widespread anyway so i'd skip this option.
If your wii is softmodded, which you really need it to be (else you won't have any games to actually play on dolphin :P ) there's apps out there which you can run on your wii and it makes a perfect back up of your games.

Does anyone have any suggestions of Wii games that work well in Dolphin?

    I've tried:
    Zelda: Twilight Princes - flawless
New Super Mario Bros - very good. 90-100% speed
Donkey Kong Country Returns - slow 70-80%
Mario Galaxy 2 - runs slow a lot, down to 70%

    My Specs are:
    Phenom II X4 965 3.4GHz
    GTX 570
    4GB RAM

Anyone looking for a Bluetooth adapter make sure it's from here:
    http://wiibrew.org/wiki/List_of_Working_Bluetooth_Devices

Also there's problems with the Microsoft Bluetooth stack where Dolphin will connect to the Wiimote but no movement or buttons will work in game. The solution is to install a different Bluetooth stack (depending on your adapter this will be Toshiba, Broadcom or Bluesoleil).

I've found Toshiba the best so far. The drivers are intended for only Toshiba hardware but you can install the drivers with most usb Bluetooth adapters by following these steps:
