Mercedes g/box oil...ATF..????

    Dropped into M*L to enquire about manual g/box oil for my Vito.........the guy in there (after consulting with a mechanic) told me i needed ATF oil...I left ,oilless...:confused:

    Is there something they're not telling us....???

    A lot of their manual boxes use ATF

    Visit the castrol website. Type in your REM and you might get your van specs. If not search for your make model of your van

    In this fact Mercedes don't use just ur normal ATF like say a normal car.its actually a green ATF like fluid that Mercedes use and I no this as that's the brand we specialise in.

    I suppose the point here is that the parts guy and the mechanic knew their stuff in this case.
