How did this person ever become famous for acting? Her face is breathtaking in how it annoys me every time I see it. It's like her features are overtaking her tiny head, it's terrifying.

Reviews from almost all respected movie reviewers agree with me. Take Rachel Getting Married for example. It has universal acclaim on Metacritic: http://www.metacritic.com/movie/rachel-getting-married/critic-reviews

In case you don't know what Metacritic is, it is a site that compiles all major reviews of movies, TV and games.

Obviously my personal opinion is subjective, but she has almost unanimous praise by serious movie commentators. She is an Oscar nominated actress. Many of the best directors want to work with her (Christopher Nolan, Ang Lee etc). I think I will listen to Nolan and Ang Lee over Kimia.

I started this thread light-heartedly as a way to vent about an actress I don't like. You get your kicks anyway you want Parker.

You could have phrased things very differently to show it was light hearted. Instead it came across as a weird, slightly bitter thread. If you don't like her fair enough. But she is a good actress.

Well, I have to say I'm not a fan of Hathaway's at all. She can act a bit alright, but it's hard to think about that when she has a mouth big enough for storing coal and eyes that look like they're about to pop out of her head.

I try to avoid any films starring the girl if I can. The last film I saw with her in it was 'The Devil Wears Prada', and I thought Emily Blunt put Hathaway to shame. At least Blunt actually was/is good-looking, you know..

I just thought there that it's a pity Hathaway is starring in the upcoming 'The Dark Knight Rises'. Puts a major dampener on things, like. Damn it. :mad:

It does. Love love love Emily Blunt. Thought she did a great job in the Devil Wears Prada and have liked her in the other movies she has starred in too.

Anne Hathaway..miscast in One day-totally ruined the movie for me and now taking over the 'leading lady' role in Batman from Katie Holmes..the only actress I dislike more than Anne Hathaway-both overrated IMO.

As for 'The Dark Knight Rises', what was Chris Nolan smoking when he cast Hathaway to play Catwoman? She has about as much edge as an inflated balloon. She won't be a convincing Catwoman, to say the least.

Even hearing that again makes me :eek: and . The new Batman movies were so good and leaving aside the dull as ditchwater Katie Holmes in the first one, were generally well cast.

I'm sure Nolan knows a bit enough that his judgement can hardly be questioned to seriously given his track record.

Either way, shes better then most in Hollywood at the moment anyway.

Each of the Nolan Batman movies has caused the usual types to go mental when casting is announced. Similar people are not happy with Bane (or the casting of Tom Hardy)

Like I said earlier I side with Ang Lee and Christopher Nolan when it comes to deciding Anne Hathaway's worth as an actress. Nolan picked her because she can act and he probably wants to explore Selina Kyle as opposed to the Catwoman figure many are familiar with from the Tim Burton movie. He always returns to the source material for the Batman movies.
