Help..where and how do I begin my search??

Hi I am 37 yrs old and I live in Cork.I was adopted from Bessboro in 1974.I am married with 3 children and feel that after debating with myself about it for many years now is the right time to begin my search for my birth mother.I have absolutely no idea where to begin and I would really appreciate any advice...thanks.

hi,, as for where do u begin ,,, adoption rights alliance have a webpage and are on facebook they have excellent trace guidelines xx the bessboro files are in nomans land at the moment hse have taken them over, but havent got them , and hse are about as helpful as ermmmm actually theres nothing as useless as them,, there is a very good suppost group too called know my own in cork that meet once a month ( tonight! ) that have people who would help you too. you can do it yourself with help from one of the above groups you dont need to go through any agencies or anything x im a bessboro babe myself similar time to you xx

Hi..thanks a mill for the information..I checked out the Adoption Rights Alliance webpage and found it very helpful, especially regarding questions that I might want to ask..I am going to begin my search as soon as possible..thanks again for your help.
