Anybody have any experience with GFS pickups? Specifically the Lil Puncher for tele's.

Thinking about getting one to drop into my mex tele, but the reviews across the net are quite mixed.

I got a set of classic 2 alnico 2s, didnt compare to the SD aph2 which theyre meant to be
I felt they sounded just ok, slightly brittle if anything. Cant comment on the li'l puncher though

You get what you pay for with these so dont expect the quality of seymour duncans
Theyre made by artec, who are to electronics what cort are to guitars.

Hope this is of some help!

I haven't used them personally but I truly believe that if you are going for a pickup upgrade, then go get something a bit more pricey that merits the upgrade. For a few dollars more you could buy dimarzio or seymour duncan which should hold their value if you decide to sell on.

The second hand market is worth checking out too
