Hello, I'm looking to flush out my coolant system on a Peugeot 307 after head gasket going, just wondering what way is best to get it fully cleaned out, any help appreciated.

Wasn't it flushed by whoever changed the head gasket? I'd ask that question of them first.

To answer though, you can get specific cooling system flushes which you fill/add to your cooling system and let it run up to temp for a while and then drain and refill with coolant. This may have to be repeated depending on how bad the oil contamination of the cooing system was.

Thanks for the reply, sorry never said the head gasket isnt done yet just wondering was there any type for flush to use or just keep doin it till its not contaminated any more and the new coolant can be added of course do all this after the new head gasket has been fitted,

    Thanks again Nissan Doctor

If you haven't already had the HG done then it will be much easier to clean everything when its all disassembled. The head and all cooling pipes/thermostat/water pump etc will be off so all parts/areas can be cleaned while its apart. With everything disconnected the rad can be removed easily and flush out too.

This means that you don't have to spend any time with a poorly circulating or clogged cooling system while the flush is working.
