Our neighbours house was tried a few days ago and got me thinking. Our back door is similar to the one above. It just has the basic lock, which makes it a weak point. Is there any extra DIY locks available for these?

*edit - Links to products would be great...

AFAIK if you want to have a multipoint deadlock locking system, you'll need to change both the door and the frame (at least the bit opposite the hinges with the receivers for the extra locking points). You might also want to look at security hinges as an option. The door in the picture just lifts off the hinge-pins and can be opened by jimmying the door under the hinges and leaving the lock alone. IME, if security is the issue this is probably not a DIY job.
