Right so i have trimmed and rotated a video using quicktime pro.

I saved the output to a new file.
When i open the new file using quicktime the rotation is correct.
If i open the file using VLC/WMP and a few others the rotation is not done.

    Any ideas?

That's very strange. It's as if it saved the rotation as meta data that's only applicable to Quicktime.

You can rotate using Mpegstreamclip and won't have this problem.

I cant find a rotation option in that program. Where is it?

Just uploaded a rotated video to youtube and youtube recognises that its rotated. Odd that other media players dont.
