Has anyone ever bought a bike from Dolan Bikes?

I'm considering buying a bike from Dolan's in January. I've searched through some old threads on this and it was mentioned at least once that the bike was bought online and then brought to an LBS for assembly (for a fee of course).

When taking delivery of the bike, how much assembly is required? Is it just a case of attaching the bars or is there more required?

From what I understand Dolan bikes will only be available to buy via their own website from 2012 onwards. Shame as I liked the look of a few models and not really a fan of the online approach.

Found this in an old review from 2009:
They send their bikes unassembled, with the parts and frame in two different boxes.
Can anyone confirm this? If it comes like this, I don't have the knowledge or tools to assemble it. Perhaps I could pay my LBS to put it together for me.

Which Dolan are you thinking of getting?

Haven't ridden one but they have a few of them in The Edge down here and they look like a fine bike, nicely finished too!

Get in touch with them! I follow them on twitter @dolan_bikes they seem to be a small personal company. Am sure they will answer your questions better than any of us....
