ipod and iphone

    hi i was just wondering is it possible to gift your ipod i want to give my ipod to my sister but it obviously has all my songs and apps and looks for my login when updating buying new apps etc is there a way of over riding this so she can use it ??

    Restore it using iTunes. This will wipe all your music, content and settings from it.

    cheers can you set up a new account and new i tunes then ?
    and will she have to use a different computer ?

    Do I have to plug it in to restore it
    Not sure how it works.
    Don't want to end up erasing my iPhone instead.

    Go to settings-general-reset-reset and erase all content

    Erase all content can take hours though. Doing a restore is much faster.

    what if let's say i erase everything and then download them with the new account will the new apps like facebook have removed all old passwords ?

    just plug it into your computer and then click on the ipod on the left side and click restore, it's impossible for that to change anything on your iphone

    when you restore it will be like a new ipod that was never used, make sure you select set up as new ipod after the restore
