I dont understand why the BBC i player etc is restricted in Ireland. Channel 4 OD is not? BBC is even on the Sky IRL EPG? Its frustrating if i miss a programme and want to watch it. Even the Sky go interface gives links to BBC programmes on anytime.

Welcome to my world :-/ it's to do with the good old rights holders chestnut. Similar situation with the RTE player outside Ireland, though at least those of us outside Ireland get some programming free for the moment. That will no doubt change if Noel Curran decides to charge us for what little we get for free now.

UK licence payers would be paying for our bandwidth use. The international iPlayer has been launched on Apple devices so I am sure we will have it on all devices at some stage.

Not true, its open to anyone. I signed up earlier today and watched two films.
I can also get the ITV Player and see any program from last week. The bbc player lets you see the list of programs and lots of info about them but i get an error on downloading content as expected. So far so good though.

Cost of movies (in €'s) and quality of movies versus Blinkbox/Film 4, and seeing as Netflix are going to be available soon and please please oh God of streaming movie sites hopefully Lovefilm, I reckon I'll keep my powder dry before trying this crowd out.

I realise Netflix/Lovefilm/blinkbox are not available via STB's but they will be available by Smart TV's and PS3's.

Keep your money in your pocket. The streaming quality is quite poor with pixalation at times on my UPC 25 meg connection. They only have 28 movies to choose from at any given time replacing 7 of those weekly. It is cheap though at €5.96 per month and you can watch as many movies as you like in that time.I am looking forward to Netflex/Lovefilm as well. There is no contract during this beta trial.

    No.

It is restricted online for ROI.

If it's accessible via ch903, wonder if that's simply a temporary anomaly?
