Happy Friday!

While other Friday style threads are raging, I'd just like to say I had a happy Friday spin into work this morning.

I started the morning trying to identify a weird noise coming from the bike that I'd noticed last night. The noise sounded like it was coming from... (all together now) THE BOTTOM BRACKET! Normally this kind of thing will drive you mad, but a couple of random tweaks here and there, I hop on the bike and the sound is completely gone. Don't know how exactly but woohoo!

Then I'm trying to get through a gap between traffic and a parked car. The driver of the parked car folds in his wing mirror to help me through. Double points for this one as the driver is a taxi-man and gives me a wave as I go on my way!

Lastly, I hit Dublin city centre and all the cars in the 30kph zone are keeping to the limit religiously making progress very pleasant.

It's the little things that can make your day.

(Having said all this, I'll probably be run over by a bus in the rain going home tonight.)

I am starting to question the reality of it myself now...

The psychedelic freakout sequence as I floated over St Stephen's Green seems a little unlikely now that I think about it...

But were you wearing your helmet, hi-viz and religously keeping to the cycle lanes?

(Ok, I'm off for a beer now, happy Friday all)
