So how's everyone getting on at NCI? Are there many boardies studying there?

I'm studying computer science at night. Have to say I really like the College. It has good facilities and the teachers are all decent. It helps that I really like my course.

Only problem is that mouldy coffee machine. Really need a new one.

I'm doing the BAHBMD Business course. In 3rd year, can't believe it's almost over. I know I'm going to miss the place, even though our course co-ordinators screwed us around so much. That's what happens when you're the first year of a new course

Where's the subway? I always come in from the liffey side so haven't really looked around. .99c is a bargain if it's decent coffee

What's involved in the course. General business studies? From what angle?

They do run a decent variety of courses in NCI that seem to be very industry driven

It's Business Management, so it's fairly general. In first year we did Marketing, Management, Financial Accounting, Quantitative Methods, Micro Economics, Human Resource Management, Communications and Business Law. Then in second year we did Entrepreneurship, Financial Accounting (too much accounting), Management and International Business as our core modules. I did Employment Law, Intro to Industrial Relations, Health and Safety and Services Marketing for electives. This year we're doing Project Management, Strategic Management, Economic and Social Policy, Marketing Management and Operations Planning as cores and I picked European Comparative Industrial Relations and Business Ethics for electives next semester.

...I can't believe I remembered all of that.

It's a really good course, I love it. Except we were supposed to have Organisational Behaviour in first year, which they never gave us...so now we don't have the option of having Organisational Development as an elective. Also, we were supposed to do Macro Economics which we never got either so when we started Economic and Social Policy this year, they had to give us 7 hours of Macro to bring us up to speed. Severe lack of organisation (and possibly sense) in that programme office!

Fairly wide scope there. What's your ideal job after doing it?

Probably not open at night either. The 7 wonders does a decent one but they're closed in the evening.

    Haven't a bleedin' clue :D

I really like Marketing though, perhaps something involved with consumer behaviour.
