anyone else keep getting this in their menu bar. Did a quick scout online and some people said it was related to a particular music downloading app that was heavily promoted last week which i have since deleted but the ad pops up every now and then which is worrying.

Do i need virus protection perhaps? Anyone shed any light?

You probably have more apps that push notifications. Airpush Detector should sort you out.

That seems to have done the trick, thank you. Turns out it was one of my favourite and used apps called "mysettings" which was a handy widget for data on/off, 3g, airplane mode etc. Deleted now, cheers
