The documentary of the Irish 4-person that took part in RAAM in 2008 will be premiered in the Ardboyne Hotel in Navan on Sunday 4th December.

In 2008 Alan Heary decided to prove that, with only six months training and resources normally only available for professional teams, he could take four amateur cyclists and get them to finish what is considered to be the toughest bicycle race in the World – the Race Across America.

With the help of top cycling coach Padraig Marrey and one of Ireland’s most successful cycling managers PJ Nolan they embarked on a journey that would put them in the record books.

It was on his return from this adventure in RAAM, that the Race Around Ireland was born!

Come along to meet the racers, mentors and crew members who took part in this amazing accomplishment.

Anybody is welcome to come along to the premiere and there is no charge.

If anybody is interested in going you can pm me with your name and number of tickets required.

Thanks for coming. Theres a touch of sadness about it though as Alans mother, who was at the screening, passed away suddenly yesterday.

As far as i know there will be a dvd available to buy soon and i'll post any info as i get it.
