bike lock holder rattle

    So, I have a Kryptonite U-lock for a couple of years now.
    What annoys me is the holder for the bike.
    I currently have this

    But whenever I go over one of the many potholes it rattles and shakes.

    I don't like noises coming from my bike. Noises tell me I need to tighten something, but there is nothing there to tighten.

    I also find it hard to remove the U-lock from the holder.

    Do other people have similar gripes? What would be the solution?

    Or should I just deal with it.

    Kryptonite seem to have changed the EZ mount. It used to be very, very difficult to get the lock out, but my mount got so badly damaged I had to order another one, and it's no longer such a tight fit.

    Still rattles a lot, but there is a solution of sorts.

    The black elastics are hair ties. The hook in the first image is from an old backpack, or something like that. Had it in my odds and ends box anyway.

    It doesn't completely eliminate rattle, but it damps it a lot.
