Parcel 2 Go/eBay problem

    Hi guys,
Hope this is the right place, I'm just looking for some advice.
I bought a video game console off a seller on eBay (he has over 8000 transactions with 100% feedback so trusted it)
It was to be delivered in early November however when it hadn't arrived by the end of the month I got worried. I contacted the seller and after a day he came back to me saying that Parcel 2 Go (who he used to send it from the UK) had said it was delivered and signed for early in the month.
Neither I nor my parents who I'm living with signed for the parcel at anytime and I live in a rather rural area where it would be hard to mistake the address. So now I'm waiting on an email from the seller with the signature that was used to collect this and when it arrives, and I see that its none of our signatures do I have any comeback? I will have to open a resolution on eBay but this seller seems rather unhelpful so are my chances of getting my money back next to nothing?
How can my parcel just be signed for by someone with no proof of Id, there are only a few houses nearby and none of them have signed for it so the delivery person must have got my address totally wrong, are parcel 2 go in any way liable?

Again, any help would be much appreciated!

The seller is liable to you, that's all that matters. Start a Paypal claim right now, because you only get 45 days from the date of sale to do this. If you don't do it in time, you'll never get your money back. That's if it's not too late all ready.

You can also do an eBay claim up to 60 days, but if you paid with Paypal then start there.

Thanks for the reply, I think I have until the 11th to make a paypal claim, im just awaiting the email from the seller with a record of the signature.
So even though somebody unknown has signed for this I should still be able to make a claim?

You can make a claim in any event, whether you'll win that claim or not is another story. Paypal look for proof of delivery, whether or not they accept that it was not you that received it is up to them.
