Shared folder not appearing in Finder

    Lads my heads melted, for some reason my shared folder wont appear in my finder sidebar.

    Its ticked in preferences:

    Looking around online I can see its happening a lot but no real solution. Any thoughts?

    Shared from where and with what OS?

    If you do Command K from the finder and enter the server's IP, will it connect that way?

    Shared only appears in the sidebar when there's something on your network that's sharing itself. I assume you have a shared folder on another computer, yeah?

    I was attempting a back to my mac with a macbook air os lion. The air was not on my network though, so that would explain why it wasn't appearing thanks.
    I think i'l need to adjust my cloud settings for back to my mac.
