Can anyone recommend some one to repair a Patio sliding door? In Wicklow near Bray.

what is the problem with the door

The door slides open about a foot easily and then jams. I can see where there is a lot of scraping on the rail/track. There was a bit of friction on it recently, but it suddenly got much worse. Seems to be worse when it's wet out, if that makes sense. Hoping it won't cost too much to fix, but I'm sure it's one of those things that if I don't get sorted now will be much worse in the long run.

Would you not just lift it off and see what is blocking it? Could be a little stone or something.

Yeah, if it was a computer I'd have no problem investigating and fixing the problem. This is a foreign country to me, but if I saw how to diagnose and fix it I'd do it myself next time, but to be fair I have no idea how to go about fixing this. I know it sounds simple to you. As does booting knoppix from a usb drive to recover dead data on your hard drive, to me.

    hi,
just wondering how you got on?
I have a sliding door with pretty much the same problem, but over the last 18 months ive been taking the door off the track and free-ing up the wheels, this worked but now they are completly ceased and the track is getting torn up, so im looking at a new track and wheels on the door.
Any idea of where to source these or fix the problem, Waterford area...
