One of the 7steps is that they dye the eyebrows and pick a colour that suits your hair colour so your eyebrows won't be too light afterwards. Also, they have a product called 'Grow Baby Grow' which you apply twice daily to areas of the brow you want to grow, it has ingrediants in it which stimulate the hair folicals to grow. Even have a consultation with a salon that offers HD Brows to see what they recommend for you.

I'm getting the HD Brows done tomorrow so I will let you guys know how I get on. Really looking forward to getting it done after seeing loads of before & after videos on youtube and reading numerous reviews! :)

That does sound brilliant shortskirtciara! I wonder how often they would have to be dyed though?

Just got them done in a salon in Mullingar. Overall im impressed with the shape but at the moment they are very dark. Ive a strawberry blonde hair colour, never dyed my hair ever and she chose a dark brown dye, at the minute they look black and look completely odd compared to my face, say people are looking at me very oddly! The salon I went to didnt use any of the HD products which I didnt realise until the end which i was disappointed about. She did threading, tweezing, trimmed the brows, and dyed them. She didnt wax or do the aftercare etc. I will get them done again but in a salon that offers the official HD brow procedure so I know im getting the best overall shape etc..

Personally I think HD brows is a bit of a gimmick, realistically its just plucking, tweezing & waxing and using tint...a good therapist should always be able to do amazing eyebrows and its a bit mad that places charge 50 quid for what is essentially a shape & tint.
The gimmicky bit is using the 3 methods of hair removal, and you would most certainly get the same effect from threading alone. Waxing takes off bulk and threading/plucking gets right in to help with perfecting the shape.
Tinting has come a long way from just black or brown and it is great that there is a bit more thought going into shades etc.

    But still 50 quid?

I totally agree, 50e is a crazy price. I paid 25e today, other places are 35e and thata in galway and dublin. Id never pay 50e for it!

Threads in blanchardstown had a sign up for this saying it was 30 euro and to ask instore for details, so when i was there to get my eyebrows threaded i asked what it was- assuming that it was what has been explained on here- and i was told 'its if you want three areas threaded, such as lips, cheek and brows it will be all 30euro'!

I tint my eyebrows myself, and i assumed threading is an alternative to waxing or plucking so i dont really see why those would be needed as well. I also use a shadow to fill in gaps to make them look fuller.

the grow gel stuff seems like a bit of a gimmick as well as theres only so much a gel can actually do to make hairs grow, especially if they're already naturally sparse- and im speaking as someone with alopecia so i know the limitations surrounding hair growth- unfortunately! :o

Totally agree. I pay €14 to my eyebrows tinted and waxed. After she waxes my brows, my beautician goes in with a tweasers and gets the stragglers, €36 saving and my brows have a lovely shape (if I do say so myself :o)

CK10 what tint do you use when you do your own eyebrows? Always wanted to give it a try.

I got free HD brows in that place in Santry as they were training staff. Couldn't believe my luck cos I wanted to try it out! My brows were quite light and they did look a lot better, colourwise and shape wise. Would get it done again if I was feeling rich!

I think you need to go back again and again to get them perfect.

i did use 1000 hours (or something along those lines!), then i changed to Hive but i found Eyelure dyelash to be the best. i guess you've to keep trying til you find the right one! i use it on my lashes and brows. but only leave it on my brows for about 30 seconds so it doesnt go too dark

    Hi

I took the plunge today and finally got my eyebrows done with HD Brows. Mine were over plucked and taking ages to grow back in, I told the girl that I wanted them to look natural and as if I had thicker brows but I didn't want the "Scousebrow"!

Needless to say I'm converted my brows look amazing it takes a bit of getting used to when you catch yourself in the mirror, but no different to if you have changed the colour of your hair and you're still getting used to it.
If you haven't done it yet, you should go and do it ASAP!!

    : )

    Thank you!!

A lot of the HD brows look ridiculous, but I suppose that's mainly girls getting the Scouse Brow. Why on earth is that in fashion??? :(

I was highly tempted to get the HD brows done a few months ago but couldn't justify the price. My friend and I had planned on going to get them together, I ended up cancelling the appointment and got mine threaded and tinted on Aungier Street for €10 (it was a deal at the time but I think it's usually only €16) and she did a gorgeous job. Met my friend after she got her's done in Jervis and they looked really bad, both eyebrows were completely different shapes.

HD brows on a guy would look ridiculous. Sounds like you just need a tidy up, any beauty therapist will be able to do that for you.
