It was on the fas website, I can't see it there now!
I presumed there would be a thread in here about it, there are 40 jobs going there, for six months !

Might even end up on the telly when they go on strike again!

Fas? was a jobbridge thing or what? Why would public jobs be on the fas website and not on publicjobs.ie?

I was thinking the same. Passport office jobs would be clerical officer grade in the civil service so you would imagine they would appear on publicjobs.ie ? Bit strange they went live on fas.ie and were then taken down again.

Good luck to anyone that applied tho if it was genuine.

It's not strange as such - they advertised through fas with a closing date and once that passed the advert was taken down. I don't know why they went outside of public jobs but I know of other temporary recruitment campaigns conducted by other civil service departments outside of the publicjobs site in previous years.

My brother went for it this year and the letters have gone out this week so anyone who went for interview should hear one way or the other over the next few days :)

I saw it on FAS and applied, no word back though.... though a friend of mine got a call back and is due to start next week, he had worked in the civil service before so he was on their contact list..Grrr!!

Was this only Cork, or Dublin as well. I thought they had to advertise through Public Jobs
