Other reports have 11sp Di2 out in 2012 also, using the improved cabling from Ui2.

Presumably 11sp Ui2 will then come in 2013 or some unspecified future point designed to force all the upgrade addicts into splurging on 11sp Di2.

    Interesting note in velo2010's link:
The cassette and freehub body are wider: 10-speed cassettes will work on 11-speed wheels (with a spacer), but not vice versa. Rear hub spacing remains 130mm.

Sounds like you'll need new wheels, or a freehub body at least.

Is this why the Pro's (Garmin) are insisting on Shimano? Presumably with a 2013 launch date for customers we'll see it at next years Tour!

I doubt it. You didn't hear a clamour of riders demanding to switch to Campag when they introduced 11 speed. If what Velonews reported was correct, I'd say there's an influential group of riders on Garmin who either were keen to go back to electronic shifting or hated something about Sram.

So does that mean that 10 speed Dura Ace Di2 can now be considered retro?

Sram posts moved to the Sram thread started this morning.
