Just wondering if say you put down a subject you were only slightly interested in because you knew you weren't going to get enough points for what you actually wanted .
Could you accept the one you slightly wanted then change over from an early point in the year or does it all depend on your points ?

What if you did one year of the course you didn't like so much , provided you pass your exam then could you transfer

    all depends on points

what you could do is to put that course as your no 1 choice in the case that if you dont get enough points for your first course you can get one of the other courses you choose

if you do a post leaving certificate course you can get extra points when applying for a college course to the cao

if applying as a mature student theres no points involved

I'm doing a fetac course at the minute but the chances of
Me getting all distinctions is slim :-/

checked information about fetac there are points awarded for merits, distinctions and passes normally the best eight subjects for level 5 and 6 as far as i could see

if you are applying to waterford check out the following it has information about fetac

I know there are merits and stuff but do get the points you'd nearly need all distinctions :(
