Quick question about job application

    So I recently applied for a job that I am extremely interested in. The closing date was 20th November and I applied around the 9th.

    I got an email back saying "All applicants will be shortlisted and we will be in touch following shortlisting".

    So should I expect some sort or response either way? Just wondering as I would like to follow it up but don't want to seem pushy if they are planning on getting back to me.

    While courtesy dictates you should get a response the experience of many applicants these days is they never hear a thing back.
