Ok I dunno if anyone has been following my Zombie hunter thread...

For those of you who are interested... http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056460428

Anyways I've decided to pimp my UMP. It's a Double Eagle and it's pretty wrecked. I'm gonna be upgrading the gearbox for definite, can anyone tell me if it's a standard version gearbox? I'll be throwing in a tightbore and new hopup rubber etc, however the hopup unit itself is fecked. Are there replacement hopups available? I've looked around and nothing looks quite the same.

Any and all help is much appreciated, MonkeyGuy

    Check this link out; http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056432404

There is a link on there for Airsplat that lists a load of instruction manuals.
It definately has one for the DE UMP M89, I think it is about two thirds the way down the page. It may have the info you are looking for.:)

That things nifty, especially considering the crappy instruction manuals tend to get lost/shot up when I get a new toy. It doesn't tell me they're standard parts though?

If you look at page 8 of the manual (link below)
    http://www.airsplat.com/Manuals/M89-8.jpg

It looks like a version 3 gearbox. Short motor.
The hop unit looks unique to the UMP.
If I remember right though the DE is a carbon copy of the G&G version.

Yeah it's definitely a clone, don't know how close it is though. I mainly want to know if I could get a drop-in gearbox. If the hop-up's unique there isn't much hope unless someone managed to break everything bar the hop-up unit on theirs.

After looking on the Airsplat website, they have the manual for the G&G version there as well.
It is a version 3 gearbox, but I don't know if it has a specific selector plate or not.
The hop unit is the same as the DE one; http://www.airsplat.com/Manuals/EG-GG-UMG-5.jpg

Also you can email G&G directly and they will send you out any specific parts you need. I have used them a couple of times. They have always been quick to respond, very reasonable on price and they don't rip you off on postage.:)
So you could order the hop unit there.

Now that is excellent news! I may get a decent bit of money together first so I can put in a decent order. I'll do what I can with the externals first and make sure it's worth the effort, might try get some pictures up in the Zombie Hunter Loadouts thread when I do it. Thanks a million Rooky!
