Can't install itunes - HELP!

    Hi hoping someone can help me. While trying to install IOS 5 on my iphone I was told I needed to install the latest update of itunes. When I tried to do so this notification came up on the screen.....

    "There is a problem with this windows installer package. A program to complete this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."

    So I decided to uninstall the current itunes & reinstall it in case it was a problem with itunes on my pc & now I cant get it to install at all!! I don't know what to do - please help!

    I have windows Vista

    Probably a stupid question but have you tried rebooting after uninstall just so any running programs or files which might be using itunes are cleared?

    Download Windows Installer and see if that helps. You should also re download iTunes in case it is corrupted!

    hi thanks for your replies - all sorted now. I uninstalled all the apple related programs on the pc then reinstalled itunes so IOS 5 now up on running on the iphone!
