I was wondering around Ballina County Mayo, today when I came across a Home Brew shop and it got me thinking of Christmas Presents for a VERY special friend, who had previously talked about getting into home brew!

I was given a rough estimate of the cost of a beginers start up kit, and everything needed to start brewing, excluding bottles being about €55, does this seem reasonable?

Could some helpful Brewer give me an idea of what you all would need for a starter kit? I am guessing:
    1. Starter kit
    2. Barrel
    3. Bottles
    4. Brewers Sugar
    5. steriliser
    One last question:
Are there any home brew stores in Galway or Limerick?

    Happy Beers!
    Cheers!

Coopers kit is great for someone starting and it has everything you need excluding sanitiser (which you can make yourself anyway). Have one myself and it's great!

Excellent present for someone if they were interested in starting,

for a present the coopers is probably the best as it doesnt look like a lot of plastic bits and pieces you found in utility cupboard....:D
