    The only XL routes over Irish airspace seem to be transatlantic, but then why would it be a 737?

    mate of mine works there said they were doing hydraulic power off tests for the elevator tab rods

    Had the pleasure of doing those tests a few times off the west coast...manual reversion is quite some fun!

    Cool, i've done it in the sim a few times - no fun at all!

    Do the controls feel as heavy in the real thing?

    They're heavy but manageable, certainly controllable enough to make an attempt at landing.

    One bouncey landing :D done it a few times in the sim and was asked to preform it at a simcheck last year
