If you know is account number I think its possible.
He WILL find out that you used his money though I suspect so if your trying to avoid a tongue lashing, you might be wasting your time just from that point of view.

Pay up, expect the worst and hope for the best. Good luck - and STOP playing NOW!

Just man up and ring him and tell him your crap at poker and lost his hard earned cash :D

I will happily help you. Try lodging some to my account a few times until we figure out how it works. I will let you know if I receive the money and if not you can try again until I let you know it worked and you can stop putting money in. *innocent face*

nope u dont need either account number or sort code....just mention its ur dads account,if you no where his main bank is its even better as they can access it with ease.give full details ie address, contact numbers and ul be fine, because ur lodging money its grand,if you withdrawing money theyl ask for your card,if you dont have that theyl ask for id possibly two forms, they can also ask for id if they feel suspicious when you give them a bank card.anyways moral of the story is u dont need full details

No just give him the 300 when he gets back. Its not like he is after losing anything anyway and fair play to you giving it back to him.

Thats the way Id see it.

you should definitely only lodge €100 to his account and then win the other €200 back at poker

Maybe even a little somethin' somethin' for all your troubles ;)

You can, but it's awkward enough. Just drop me a PM, so we can arrange it to go my paypal account, and I'll do the rest for ya.

Ah bless. I know this is true in a small country town, but try it anywhere else and you'll get odd looks and be told to go off and find the account number.

OP, he's going to notice that there's no money in his poker account. Find the account number, transfer the €300 in and then ring him and tell him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,251 ✭✭✭massdebater

OP just keep playing poker until you win all his money back. Easiest solution and will save you a trip to the bank

Maybe if you explain the situation to the nice man who kicked your ass at poker he will happily give it all back to you?

Oh wait, sorry, you mean in the REAL WORLD. I was in the happy-happy cuddly land in my mind.

Just send around an email telling people of your plight and that you will be assasinated to death if you do not replace those funds.

Then, sit back and watch the money roll in.

    Big pimpin.

Two lessons to be learned here at least OP.

    1. Don't mess around with your fathers poker game and
    2. Your crap at playing successfully.

Wanna play a game with me? Bring cash only! :D

    Good day,

I am contacting you because of a business concerning a huge sum of money
from a deceased deposit in the Security and Finance company where I work
here in Netherlands. Though I know that a transaction of this magnitude
will make any one apprehensive and worried, but I am assuring you that
all will be well at the end of the day. I actually decided to contact
you due to the urgency of this transaction.

    PROPOSITION;

I discovered an abandoned deposit in my company owned by one of our
foreign customers who died along with his entire family as a result of
an automobile crash. He actually deposited this funds amounting to
US$12,000,000.00 (Twelve million united states dollars), for safe
keeping in my company here in Amsterdam. Company file records shows that
the funds was actually for a project our late costumer wanted to start
in the near future (a multi million Dollar steel plant in Florida, USA),
before his sudden and untimely death. As such since his death none of
his relations or next-of-kin has come forward to lay claims for this
property as the heir, this is the basically the reason why I have
contacted you. My company cannot release the property unless someone
applies for claim as the next-of-kin to the deceased as indicated in our
    operating guidelines.

Upon this discovery, I now seek your permission to have you stand as a
next of kin to the deceased as all documentations will be carefully
worked out by me for the funds to be released in your favour as the
beneficiary's next of kin. It may interest you to know that I have
secured from the probate an order of madamus to locate any of deceased
beneficiaries. Please acknowledge receipt of this message in acceptance
    of our mutual business endeavour by furnishing me with the following;

    1. Beneficiary full name and address
    2. Direct Telephone and fax numbers
    3. Occupation and position
    4. Nationality and Date of birth
    5. Marital status
    6. Gender/sex

These requirements will enable me file letter of claim to the
appropriate departments for necessary approvals in your favour before
you can personally appear for the claim. I shall be compensating you
with 30% of the total money while 10% will be for any expenses incurred
the rest will be mine on final conclusion of this project. Please note
that your share stays while the rest shall before me for investment
    purposes.

If this proposal is acceptable by you, do not take undue advantage of
the trust I have bestowed in you, I await your urgent mail. Please reply
to my private and confidential email: bruceraymond@indiatimes.com

    Best Regards,
    Mr. Bruce Raymond.

    Dear Biggins

This remains my fave one ever... especially the bit where he gets the maths wrong......

This is the only way I could contact you for now, I want you to be very careful about this and keep this secret with you until I make out space for us to see. You have no need of knowing who I am or where I am from. I know this may sound very surprising to you but it's the situation. I have been paid some ransom in advance to terminate you with some reasons listed to me by my employer. It's someone I believe you call a friend; I have followed you closely for a while now and have seen that you are innocent of the accusations he leveled against you. Do not contact the police or try to send a copy of this to them, because if you do, I will know, and I might be pushed to do what I have been paid to do. Besides, this is the first time I turn out to be a betrayer in my job. I took pity on you, that is why I have made up my mind to help you if you are willing to help yourself.

Now listen, I will arrange for us to see face to face, but before that, I need $9,000. I will come to your home or you determine where you wish we meet; I repeat, do not arrange for the cops and if you play hard to get, it will be extended to your family. Do not set any camera to cover us or set up any tape to record our conversation; my employer is in my control now. Payment details will be provided for you to make a part payment of $3,000 first, which will serve as guarantee that you are ready to co-operate, then I will post a copy of the video tape that contains his request for me to terminate you which will be enough evidence for you to take any legal action against him before he employs another person for the job. You will pay the balance of $3,000 once you receive the tape.

Warning; do not contact the police, make sure you stay indoors once it is 7.30pm every day until this whole thing is sorted out, if you neglect any of these warnings, you will have yourself to blame. You do not have much time, so get back to me immediately

Note: I will advise you keep this to yourself alone, not even a friend or a family member should know about it because it could be one of them.

Use the lodgement slips at the bank to detail sort code, account number and name and address of account holder to lodge money no q's asked.

Then for €59.99 you might want to buy my new book "Plaza's Surefire Way To Win At Poker All The Time Everytime (Even The Online Games)". You can PM your bank details and name and address and I'll have it to you for Christmas.

PS Mods : Only helping out - not spamming but you too should buy my new book "Plaza's Surefire Way To Win At Poker All The Time Everytime (Even The Online Games)" for €59.99. Even if you don't play it'd make a lovely present for the wife or kids. You can PM your bank details and name and address and I'll have it to you for Christmas.
