Where to get black flags, clips and cheap stands?

I'm looking for larger cards to use with medium sized softboxes

Any idea where to get these?

Trying to prevent light spill onto a subject from the softboxes and I've only seen smaller flags.

    Any suggestions appreciated.

Where is the light spilling from. If it's bouncing across a room and back again on to the subject then you need to put a black hole across the room. Ie.. something non reflective that catches the light like black velvet. If you're trying to block directly from the softbox then you can try a couple of thing thing. A grid on the softbox will help to control spill. You could try and brush the light past the front your subject for nice soft light and good fall off. Without knowing the exact scene then it's difficult to suggest more.

You can get large light weight mountboards in art supply shops. The shop, Inspiring Ideas in Blanchardstown SC has them. While there, check Maplins for cheap light stands. You could make V Cards with sheets of hard board from B&Q. Paint black on one side and white on the other. Use gaffer tape as the hinge to join them in the middle. You can also pick up some black clamps in B&Q very cheaply.

    Thanks for the reply Dave.
Basically I'm playing around with set up ideas and I reckon that I'll have to block light from the softbox(s) that I'll be using to light the background (not sure if I'll need one or 2 lights but I'm guessing 2).
I'll need to prevent spill due to space (subject distance from background)

I'm going to try a few things but don't mind getting a flag set-up once its not too expensive.

I'll take a look at the options so thanks for that

When doing 255 white on the background, to avoid spill you need about 6 feet distance to the subject. Say you want f8 for the subject and to blow the bg out you need to be around f13 or so. Then you to move the subject away from the bg till the back of head measures f8. This usually occurs at between 6 or 7 feet and is dependant on how reflective the background is. The result should be reduced glare in camera and no blown out highlights on the subject from the bg.
