Tesco Saorview TV/DVD combo 22inch €189

    Spotted a Technika 22inch TC/DVD combo for €189 in Tesco Douglas (big pile of them).
    Had Saorview labels on it. Spec did not mention recording or playback function but there was a USB socket on the back, as well as HDMI and SCART.
    Fairly plasticy looking but the display seemed OK.

    They had a lot of Sony gear on "half-price" offer - iPod docks, DVD players etc. A few Sony TV's too but didn't notice prices as I'm not in the market (not "half-price" though)

    yeah theres a 19" tv and dvd for 149e, its tesco own brand, will do for a bedroom

    http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.208-5019.aspx is a 22-228 so I'd say it's one of the above.
    Built in digital. USB media player. HD ready 720p.
    Doesn't sound too bad, but there's no info on what it can play, but probably only DivX, etc.

    Did anyone buy one of these, how did you find it, I'm looking at the Bush 19'' on Argos at €159 also , I'm not very techy I'm afraid, just looking for a bedroom TV for eldest daughter.
