The usual places like Thomann do a lot of parts, but these guys are pretty good

XMusic carry spares, and the lads out in K n B Music in Maynooth (on the 67 bus route) have boxes of interesting stuff out the back - you can contact them on facebook. Far as I know they'll do any work you want done as well - they've posted photos of serious facelifts on their FB page before, for example carving a top cut-away into a telecaster. Of course, then it wouldn't be DIY would it?

I got a great deal on Seymour Duncan pickups (pretty sure it beat any european eshop I'd looked at, and compared very favourably to a music shop in a discount outlet in Philadelphia I happened to be in the same year (sam ash?)) off Niall from the Music Outlet out in Swords. It was a miserable journey to get there but I'm glad I made it :) Don't know if they do any wiring bits and bobs. Niall used to be on boards I think... Is he still knocking around?

There are a lot of sellers on eBay who'll sell you wiring harnesses, "tone circuits" (capacitor and resistor in series), cloth-clad wire and such, it's often the easiest way of getting low volumes of the exact make and size capacitor you're looking for. A lot of shops may only have no-name caps and pots, if you have your heart set on CTS pots and Sprague Orange Drops you may be disappointed.

http://www.axesrus.com/ are very reliable and I have had plenty of dealings with them. Stuff I've ordered usually arrives within a week.

From some of the threads I´ve read recently, I get the impression that the whole Guitar Fetish mania is dying down a little bit these days. If you want to improve your Epi´s electronics stick to stewmac or allparts or the equivalent.

They're in the states but any time I ordered the shipping was prompt and cheap.

Thanks Lads for these suggestions, I will have a look and see what I will get , I have not dicided yet whether to keep the electrics as standard, or coil tap or go all out Jimmy Page style!!.. Cheers

I bought some bits from allparts.co.uk a few months ago, I found them great but the site is down at the moment. Shop around anyway, there is a lot of variation in price and shipping for similar components.
