My VW Polo saloon has just about bitten the dust - want to get a 1 L (or so) run around to get me to the train station and back.

    5 door, jap tank preferred.

    Here's my question - I'm abouut 6' 4" - which of the Micra/Starlet/Yaris would be most accomodating/adjustable for me long legs ?

Went to college with a 6foot7 rugby player who drove a yaris mk1. Seemed happy enough with it.

If definitely one of the above, the Yaris should be grand. I've only had a short drive in one and at 6'6'' I had no problem in it. If you're not happy in any of them, look at the Nissan Note maybe?

Second this. With the seat fully back I'd say I couldn't reach the pedals :D

The Micra isn't great on leg room, I'm 5' 11 and I'd trouble with the seat. When it was far back to give me enough leg room I couldn't comfortably hold the wheel and vice versa.

Dunno what your budget is but The colts from 2005 onwards are 1.1litre and have loads of room in the front, plenty in the back... but there is no boot really!!

but you can do what you like with the back seats to make a bigger boot... slide...fold...tumble..take out...

Yaris Verso, http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/2599675 comes with the added bonus of never being asked for a lift anywhere, ever.

It's not impossible to find a mk1 Yaris for that budget, here's a 5 door 1 litre with a long NCT and a bit of tax for 1.6k, with a bit of haggling it'd be on budget.

    Full?id=8929049

One concern I'd have is the average MPG display being 44 l/100km. That to me means the battery was connected before the shot was taken and the car moved, but why? It's the first 5 door Yaris in your budget I found, I'm sure there are tons of tidy examples if you were to look for them :)

6'4'' and a starlet was fine for me. I'd buy one again

I'm 6ft 6 and looked everywhere to get a small car I could fit in.

I ended up getting a Mitsubishi Colt 5dr 1.3 (2005). I don't even have the drivers seat pushed back all the way in it. The Yaris when I looked at it was okay as well but didn't give the same head or leg room as the Colt. I struggled to fit well in a Micra (new shape) and a Nissan Note, they both srunched the legs slightly.

The downside I found with the Colt is that the boot space is very lacking.

I'm 6 4 and I have an Agila, plenty of room in it. Its pretty much a van inside.

    Only a 4 seater tho.

I'm 6ft2" and have driven a Punto for the last two years without feeling squashed. (Theres a possibility it may be up for sale soon, but thats a different story).
