2003 Trooper?

Looking at a 2003 Trooper 3.1
Is this a good engine or are there problems?
I have heard different reports good and bad so a bit confused.
Mileage is good and it did go in for recall.
Any advice?

they are a bit of a finicky engine, they need the correct grade oil or they will not run right. They also have injector issues, but they are not the only ones. I think its hit and miss with the troopers, you can get a good one but you can also get a ball of ****e. Check the number of owners if its high, stay clear.

The mileage is low and the service history is very good
Only 2 owners
It is a passenger version SWB two door.
My other concern is what will happen to the road tax for this after the budget.

I don't think they can really touch the top end of the tax scale, its so high as it is. But you never know the government is desperate. You could always convert it to commercial if you don't need the seats and will be using it for work.

Dont touch the 3ltr Trooper it will break your heart and your pocket. Buy it and you will regret it.:eek:
