Anyone used any of the other stuff? Salopettes / breathable trousers / soft shell top interest me. In general I think buy cheap get cheap, or at least that's been my experience of the cycling stuff I bought in LIDL/ALDI.

I'll probably pick up a couple of pairs of the fleece gloves. Can never have enough gloves :)

Went in to have a look at this stuff today. TV ad is that you can get kitted out for skiing for less than 90 quid or whatever and thats more or less what this is suited to. All of the stuff looked grand but not great, so would prob be ideal for someone on their first trip not sure if they were going to go again, that sort of thing.

I reckon if youre more into it then it might be a bit of a false economy and you'd be better just putting your money down on something better. The stuff seemed pretty heavy, in terms of weight, which ultimately is a bit of a downer in the long run.

I am half in the marked for a new pair of salopettes, mainly because the ones I have are too long, but as it happened the choice in there was large / medium. Medium was the right length but impossibly thin on the waist. Large was right waist but too long again.

In fairness I prob will have the same problem when I look for brand name stuff anyway.

They had no gents soft shell trousers which is a pitty cos I could have done with a pair of them and at €20 theyre a bit of a shot to nothing.
