does anyone know anything about the supplement epo boost as advertised in running magazines? are all the ingredients totally legal like it claims and one would not fail a drug test? and are athletes using it?

Of course it's legal, doesn't it say so on the label. What you need to is take bucketloads of this stuff, in fact sacrifice some of your training because your time will be better spent taking EPO boost. If it doesn't improve your PB by at least 20% I will be amazed.

The same company also make a product called EPO equine. Try that and you will run like a horse.

I wouldn't take it if it is responsible for the dodgy facial hair.

But it does seem to cure baldness.

If you're good enough that you're likely to be drug tested. You shouldn't be asking this.

    Except on his chest!

It's basically a huge load of Echinacea with some Vitamins.

If you buy a bottle of Echinacea and a multi vitamin, it will provide the same effect for less money.

Alternatively, you could stop looking for short cuts where there are none.

Ha ha, ye are so cruel to the poster.

So where do we get this EPO boost :)

Is it not like the Nitrous Boost?

Depends on if you are on PS3 or Xbox, but probably will be on the left shoulder button or maybe the Triangle button. You can usually only use a certain amount per lap or race though so have to be careful with when you use it all up.

Ah this is what Messi has in FIFA2012:D pn PS3

Alot of comedians here with quick-wit and negative swipes at the OP, it's pity everyone was not blessed with infinite knowledge like some of you.

How many of you guys spend big money on your technical top, shorts etc so they can make you run faster.....???

some people here need to go easy on new posters, this is boards.ie not an exclusive private members club...

The OP troll knew full well what they were starting. They mentioned EPO being a banned substance after all.

The various tech tops and shoes that we use are not subject to any regulations. Stuff that you eat to try and gain advantages is.

My point is not with legal of illegal, it's about the attitude of some of the posters on the A/R/T forums, I have noticed since I signed up that god forbid you ask any type of newbie question here, alot (not all) will flame you for asking a 'newbie' question

I have seen it a few times in relation to Barefoot running, gels and Ear-phones etc, etc. Looking at some of the replies to the OPmay have just set me off but I was actually looking at the wider picture and not just this post.

Have you not seen this type of behaviour on here before?

in fairness, it's not a typical 'newbie' question.

I know what you mean, but it would generally be followed up in quick order by people actually replying seriously and giving genuinely useful answers.

There's a Report Post button on the left, under the poster name. If you see any flaming, please report it.

Ah come on, a brand new poster comes onto the athletics forum and with his very first ever post on boards asks about something with "EPO" in it's title. What on earth do you expect!

In fairness I have seen this advertised in running magazines so it doesn't seem to me to be such a trolling attempt

It's be nice to hear back from the OP to establish the authenticity of their original post, however, I think they ultimately got their answer. It's a discussion forum, not a questions and answers forum. Discussions tend to take tangents and include attempts at humour. Would it have been better if the OP received no responses at all, or would that be rude?

The answer is that based on the responses, there is no-one on this forum using EPO boost and that it's benefits are questionable at best.

As the first poster to reply on this thread I take full responsibility for the direction this thread went in. The topic appeared at best to be a fishing expedition. Five minutes on google tells you all you need to know about the magical qualities of epo boost. If the OP is genuinely a serious competitive athlete subject to drug testing this forum is not the appropriate place to seek advice on supplements.

P.S. I have never bought a technical top, I don't like the way they accentuate my moobs although I will check to see if the manufacturers of epo boost can do something for me.

Well, see what a litttle gentle persuasion does ??

I have gotten alot of substantiated replies since my post. Again, I will say, if you felt the guy was just trolling, then leave the post and report it, if not, then try and help the guy with some wisdom or knowledge.

    Simples !!

That could come across as very patronizing. It's pity everyone was not blessed with infinite patience and tolerance. Some people here need to go easy on old posters, this is boards.ie not a kidergarden.

See what I did there? :)

@ SJ new posters and newbies are given a lot of time and respect around here. I well remember when I first came on with trepidation and found that requests, comments, advice etc are generally treated at face value. People do make allowances for naivety and newbie questions.

The opening post was borderline daft though and attracted a bit of good humour. The OP would have been devoured alive on other running fora :)

    Just what I was thinking.
