Very sad news, US comedian Patrice O'Neal died after suffering a stroke last month. Very sad news.

I remember a few years ago when he supported Denis Leary in The Point. I was very looking forward to seeing him as I saw him on telly and thought he was funny. When he was introduced, a girl walked out and adjusted the mircrophone but there was no sign of him. I thought, aw no, I thought it was the American guy, not some girl I never heard of called Patrice O'Neill. Then over the mike we heard someone laughing and he said "you guys thought I was a white Irish girl right, and he walked out on stage". Brilliant.

    Rest in peace.

RIP Patrice, saw his Irish debut at the Denis Leary gig and he had the audience in the palm of his hand until he went a bit too far, but until that point he was very funny and totally in control.

Also remember Dane Cook stealing the show that night including the great (someone s**t on the coats routine) and the legendary Denis Leary reading jokes from his sheets of paper !

Possibly the strangest moment in the Roast of Charlie Sheen was when Patrice says (i'm dying of diabetes) quite strange to watch now as a few months later he is gone.
